Karen Knudsen, the owner of Knudsen Collaborative, grew up a no-nonsense Midwestern girl always looking to try new things, cheering on the people around her and contributing where her talents led her. She found she had a knack for organization very early on and began funneling those skills into film & photography production in high school in Indiana where she started producing shoots and events for the United Way and Big Brothers/Big Sisters as an intern. She loved the idea of every day being a new adventure and it seemed a career in Advertising & Media would offer her just that. And it has.

After graduation from Purdue, Karen worked in film production in Chicago, LA and Miami where she eventually switched to still photography.  Over the years, Karen has managed several corporate photo studio facilities in LA, Miami and Chicago supplying all types of photography to a wide range of retailers from large Fortune 500 companies to small start-ups. She stepped away from her last corporate studio in 2018 so she and her team could bring the focus back to the clients and the work. She still loves photography and the unique challenges each new project brings. She still greatly appreciates her longtime clients. She still loves meeting new clients and figuring out how she and her teams can best serve them. She is still meticulous with the details. She still gets a charge out of delivering great imagery.  And, she still loves that every day is a new adventure.
